About Us

Welcome to Rock Hollow Farm.  My husband, Marc, and I purchased the farm in 2008 and moved here permanently from Pennsylvania when we retired in 2014.  We care for 7 alpacas, 2 Kentucky Mountain horses, 12 Isa Brown laying hens and Hank – The Wonder Golden.  We hay our own fields, plant a large garden, and live as sustainably as possible.  We are partners in every aspect of the farm.

Our fiber boys are sheared once a year and provide luxurious fleeces.  This yummy fiber is then processed by me (and sometimes with the help of a local fiber mill) into roving, batts, yarn and warm knitted accessories.

My second passion is working with a fiber of a different kind.  I have transformed my love of garment sewing into quilting.  I design, piece and finish one of a kind quilts.  I recently acquired a long arm quilting machine which now allows me to custom finish my quilts with unique designs.

I take great pleasure in working with customers and helping their dream handmade items come to life.  Many folks can see what their quilt or knitted item may look like, but do not have the time or ability to complete them without a great amount of frustration.  That’s where I come in to play.  I listen to my customers and create what they see.  For those who wish to learn a new skill,  brush-up or advance current skills, I offer lessons in knitting, spinning, sewing, fiber processing, quilting, and am able to customize any private lesson topic of choice.
